Happy Due Date!

Happy Due Date Anthony and Aryanna!  For the last 11 weeks you've been doing lots of things outside of mommy's tummy that most babies are doing inside their mommy's tummy or that they don't have to do at all until their due date: eating, digesting your food, breathing, and growing.  Mommy and Daddy and lots of other people have been praying that God would continue to knit you together outside of the womb and He has done just that and continues to do so every day.  You are fearfully and wonderfully made!  We are so proud of you for being such fighters.  You amaze us daily and you are such miracles!  We love you both!

From this point forward Anthony and Aryanna will have 2 ages: their actual age and their adjusted age.  For example, tomorrow their actual age will be 11 weeks and 1 day and their adjusted age will be calculated from their due date, which tomorrow will be 1 day.  For the most part we'll use their adjusted age for their developmental milestones (when they should roll over, crawl, walk, talk, etc).

They had their hemoglobin levels checked last week and those had remained stable, so that will get checked again at their 3 month appointment.  Tomorrow they have their first appointment with the pulmonologist (lung doctor) so we'll see what he says about when/how we'll start weaning them off oxygen.  As always, thank you for all the prayers!  They've come so far already as proven in these then and now pictures!  God is SO Good!
